Peruvian Pima Cotton has one of longest staples of all cotton species, at 1 3/8 inches it is almost twice the length of other varieties. Lovingly cultivated in the perfect environment of the northern Peruvian valleys, it is hand picked three times a season. Each bud is meticulously assessed for ripeness before being picked, so only the finest fibres are harvested. This careful handling maintains a beautifully smooth fibre. Ultimately this creates a beautifully soft and lustrous fabric which retains its shape and colour even after many years of wear. No toxic chemicals or defoliants are used on the crops in order to minimise the environmental impact of production. For luxuriously silky and long lasting cotton wear, pima cotton is the only option.
